VAN HALEN COMING TO VEGAS

Its official! The Van Halen reunion rock tour witjh original lead singer David Lee Roth and guitarist Eddie Van Halen is set for two extraordinary nights in Las Vegas, their first gig together in 22-years!

MGM has just announced that David, Eddie, drummer Alex Van Halen and Eddie’s son, Wolfgang will play Friday December 28 and Sunday December 30 at the resort’s Grand Garden Arena. Their opening act will be special guest Ky-mani Marley.

It was back in 1984 that the band, hailed as one of the most important and influential of all time, released their 6th classic multi-platinum album “1984″ and then broke apart. Their brand of music and electrifying live shows had lasted 10-years since getting together in Los Angeles in 1974. They won two Diamond Award RIAA certified status for their 1978 debut “Van Halen” album and the “1984″ release. Both sold more than 10-million copies a piece and they went into the Guiness Book of Records for having the most #1 hits on the rock charts than any other band in history.

The band was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame this March when they announed they would reunite and tour again. But no sooner than the dates were set the whole project unraveled when Eddie went into an alcohol rehab clinic. After successfully completing the program the tour was reorganized - but Vegas was left out of the original dates. The nearest cities for Vegas fans to watch their performance were Phoenix, Anaheim and San Jose.

Tickets will go on sale next Saturday (October 6), priced at a top of $183.75. Plans are being set for privileged high-roller fans to meet the group during pre-show parties and a backstage access pass at MGM.
