UPDATE: DONNY & MARIE’S NEW FLAMINGO DEAL

Luxe Life learned this morning (FRI) that Donny and Marie Osmond’s new Flamingo resident headliner first-year deal calls for them to make a total of 26 weeks of appearances over an eight-month period starting Sept. 9.

Late last night we posted (click here) the final official confirmation from Flamingo officials that the contracts were firmly in place despite the fact that the Osmond Brothers would be competing against them later in September at The Orleans.

Their new contract is staggered in such a way that the couple will always be performing at the Flamingo over crucial major holiday and big convention periods, so expect them here for Thanksgiving, the Christmas Holiday Show, New Years, and Memorial Day. Donny and Marie are all set to host the Teleflora-sponsored NBC-TV Mothers Day special on May 11 to find America’s best moms.

Luxe Life readers were first to know the news several weeks ago when we broke the exclusive of their new Strip headliner show (click here) for that mid-March story! Now we’re waiting and watching to see if singer Toni Braxton, who has been dealing with medical issues involving her heart, will courageously return early next month after her current planned late April hiatus.

Insiders have quietly revealed they do not expect her to return to the Flamingo and that newcomer, magician Nathan Burton and soul group, Morris Day and The Time will fill in her 8 p.m. slot later this summer. I’m told that when Toni is completely recovered from her current health battle she will resume her concert tour schedule.
