International recording artist and movie actor Trini Lopez will be honored today (THURS) with the 25th star induction on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars at the Strip.

The ceremony will start at noon in the main showroom of the Flamingo hotel and Trini’s star will be installed in the concrete front walkway there later. Trini, who was signed to an exclusive eight-year contract by Frank Sinatra for his reprise label had a No. 1 hit in 25-worldwide countries with “If I Had A Hammer,” which eventually sold 5 million copies. Since getting his big break Trini has 62 albums to his credit and his newest was recorded right here at the Palms recording studio with my pal Ron Dante producing.
