As part of the finals test for the Nightclub Management Class at UNLV the students will host a “Summer Rebellion” party at MGM Grand’s new Wet Republic ultra pool today until 6 p.m. Aimed at fellow students and alumni it’s also being promoted to nightclub industry folks and Vegas locals by organizer Cheryl Martin. She’s even got a volleyball tournament planned for the “Graduate to a Higher Class”-themed bash! … Magician Steve Wyrick from Planet Hollywood Resorts Miracle Mile is David Letterman’s guest tonight on the late night CBS TV talkshow. … The Vegas Uncork’d Bon Appetit Epicurean Experience kicks off with the Masters Dinners at Caesars Palace in the Guy Savoy, Payard Patisserie, and Rao’s, Mesa Grill and Bradley Ogden restaurants. The owner chefs are all on hand with Sopranos actress Lorraine Bracco appearing at Rao’s, Iron Chef winner Cat Cora at Mesa Grill and Bon Appetit senior editors hosting at the other eateries.
