TONI BRAXTON RUSHED TO HOSPITAL
Grammy-award winning singer Toni Braxton was rushed to hospital late last night (MON) just minutes after she ended her show at the Flamingo.
Toni has twice previously been treated for an inflamed lining of her heart—known as Pericarditis.
Six-months after the birth of her second son Toni was diagnosed with the medical problem—although the St. Rose Dominican Hospital is not saying this morning (TUE) that she is currently being treated for the condition.
A hospital spokesperson confirms Toni is in the hospital but is in “good condition.” However she is not expected to perform at tomorrow (WED) night’s scheduled performance at the Flamingo. There is no firm word yet as to when she will be released and able to return to resume her shows. Just weeks ago Toni’s contract was extended through to the fall when Donny & Marie Osmond are expected to take over her theater. Discussions will be held this morning with Don Marrandino, Flamingo president about newly signed magician Nathan Burton standing-in for Toni during her medical emergency.
Heavyweight comedian George Wallace continues with his nightly 10 p.m. shows.
Toni previously confided to me that the medical problem may have been aggravated because of the C-section operation she underwent for the birth of her second son and her decision to return to perform within 6-weeks of the hospital procedure.
Luxe Life will continue to monitor this developing story—and meantime wishes the super-singer a very speedy full recovery.
