THE MYSTERY OF MISSING LINDSAY LOHAN—AND WHERE DID KANYE WEST GO?
Two superstars literally vanished off the radar this weekend. Everybody wondered just where troubled actress Lindsay Lohan and emotionally distraught hip-hop mogul Kanye West hid out.
As we reported Friday night, inseparable Lindsay and close galppal DJ Samantha Ronson did dine side by side at Strip House in Planet Hollywood Resort. They even turned up together “joined at the hip” again for next day lunch at the Planet Dailies café and again at night time for dinner in the celebrity studded Asian restaurant Koi. But other than those brief outings, they holed up in their suite. For two-consecutive nights at midnight to 4 a.m. Lindsay stayed well away while Samantha performed her weekend work totally solo in the turntable booth.
She was the guest kick-off DJ at the new Torrid nightclub in the Hawaiian Tropic Zone. It was all to avoid photographers hoping to get them together. I’m told Lindsay remained in her room and didn’t even try to get downstairs to watch in disguise.
Last weekend at the New York City opening in Hawaiian Tropic Zone Lindsay got into a public catfight with actress Ashley Olsen warning her to keep away from her girlfriend Samantha! What do these girls see in each other? Going under the radar meant we didn’t get the fireworks we’d expected after all and we didn’t even get the anticipated photos of the two of them together before they returned home to Los Angeles late yesterday.
However master starchef David Burke, who created the special HTZ menu was seen there.
Playboy Playmate Amanda Page and American Curves cover model Brooke Banx hosted the first night of Torrid.
The next night Strip Magazine nude covergirl Valentina Vaughan hosted and was joined by Penthouse Pet, Dr. Z who signed copies of her new sex-book along with fellow Pets Cassia Riley, Justine Jholie, Jamie Lynn and Pet of the Year Erica Ellyson.
There’s just as big a mystery about Kanye West. The hip-hop superstar, still reeling from the sudden shocking cosmetic-surgery death opf his mother late last year was also emotionally upset over breaking up with his two-year fiancée earlier last week. They blamed his touring schedule for keeping them apart, and while all his co-stars took off to party around town after their outdoor Red Rock concert he retired alone to his suite and never went out on the town!
Grammy-winning Lupe Fiasco dined at Sushi Roku at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and then went to the new Privé nightclub in Planet Hollywood Resort.
He wasn’t even exhausted from his Red Rock show and got on the speaker box to perform three of his hits in an impromptu unexpected free performance.
Among the club crowd was Miss Nevada Veronica Grabowski seen with galpals, instead of main squeeze Mindfreak magician Criss Angel. Fellow show star Pharrell Williams of N.E.R.D hosted his after-concert party at Tao in The Venetian with bandmates Chad Hugo and Shay Haley in tow with an entourage of 15 including fashion designer Nigo.
They dined first in the Asian–themed eatery on lobster wantons, assorted sushi and Chilean sea bass. They hit the VIP aqrea of the nightclub’s upstairs dance floor where the entire crowd went wild when the gorgeous cocktail servers marched out a birthday cupcake platter and sparklers for MTV’s That’s Amore star Domenico Nesci celebrating with five friends.
