CLINT’S DREAM: For the past 3 years my good friend, Clint Holmes, has been hard at work planning his very own musical, Just Another Man. The former six year Harrah’s headliner, voted Entertainer of the Year numerous times, opens it tonight in a run lasting until June 24th at the Judy Bayley Theater of UNLV before taking it to London’s West End as a pre-Broadway test.

It’s the wonderful story based on his parents, his African American jazz musician father and his mother, a white English opera singer that runs over six decades starting in 1944. Clint, who I’ve known since the mid 70’s, says this project has been the most difficult and yet the most rewarding creative thing he’s ever done. Fellow Strip singer Earl Turner will play his father in the show which will also feature Clint’s sister Gayle Steele.

And now for all the other weekend highlights in what we affectionately call around here the Royal Robin Rundown:

MONDAY’S TEASE: First please check in with Luxe Life over the weekend because we’ll post a special interview with Mindfreak magician Criss Angel, who will risk death for the third time this year as of 4:30am Monday morning.
He’s to be locked inside a concrete coffin and hoisted five stories above Times Square and has 24 hours to escape before it crashes to the street below.
We’ll run our exclusive interview as our Luxor resort headliner jets into New York and give you the internet links so you can watch him live via a lipstick camera from inside his sealed concrete tomb. Then we’ll be back Monday monitoring Criss’ first few hours of captivity, plus our reports of Pamela Anderson’s Vegas premiere party and all the other hot happenings.

When visiting Vegas, be sure to see Las Vegas Magazine in your hotel suite featuring a print edition of Vegas Luxe Life, and an incredible directory of attractions, shows and restaurants.
