*After attending the premiere of Cher’s new show at Caesars Palace, Hilton headliner, legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow dined at Tao Asian Bistro in The Venetian. He had two female friends and two bodyguards in his group and they feasted on crab cakes, crispy tuna sashimi rolls and Kobe beef with Pinot Grigio wine and Sake chatting about the economy and the complexities of the entertainment industry.
*Legendary European fashion designer Roberto Cavalli cut a swath through Vegas on his Euro-dollar vacation trip here. Cavalli grabbed the owner’s table on the VIP section of the dance floor at Tao in The Venetian one night and then next night hit The Bank nightclub at the Bellagio. Needless to say he was dressed to the nines and is part of the new wave of European visitors invading en masse to take advantage of our very cheap—to them—dollar!!!
*For the 11th consecutive year it’s the regional run off for the highly anticipated Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Championship. The winner of this qualifying round will earn the right to represent the United States at the 92nd annual International Hot Dog contest on July 4 at Coney Island, New York. Last year I watched in amazement as Joey Chestnut from San Jose ended former champion Takera Kobayashi’s six-year reign by downing 66 Nathan’s Famous hot dogs and buns in just 12 minutes. Go watch the contest on the Brooklyn Bridge of the New York-New York resort today (THURS) starting at 3 p.m.

Lost’s Latin lass, Michelle Rodriguez was all in angel-innocent white when she took over the VIP balcony at Bellagio’s The Bank nightspot where Pittsburgh Slim of “Girls Kiss Girls” fame was also enjoying the scenery.
The Bank party people also hosted a Vegas Magnums party to honor “best customers” and first to receive a complimentary magnum of the bubbly was boxing hero Floyd Mayweather who buys them like you and I purchase water.
Rock of Love 2 stars Ambre Lake and Jessica Kinni were back on the dancer’s strip-poles at Jet nightcdub in The Mirage.
After opening for Def Leopard at the Palms, members of REO Speedwagon took their wives and girlfriends up to the Playboy Club while Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine, who took in their concert, finished the night with dinner at the N9ne Steakhouse and he stuck with Classic Coke and NO ALCOHOL with his surf ’n turf supper. Also at Playboy was Brandi Ryan, a 23-year-old contestant on MTV’s bi-sexual dating show A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila wearing a barely there pair of black shorts and a zebra print strapless bustier top. Famous DJ Dimitri from Paris, looking classy in a tuxedo spun his set for an enthusiastic crowd that included my actor pal, Dennis Haskins, former NFL MVP Richard Dent and former NBA star Anthony “Spud” Webb.
The Super Bowl XX star played blackjack for 2-hours and then hopped between the Playboy Club and the upstairs Moon nightclub. Dennis and Spud palled up for dinner with three beautiful ladies in the N9ne steakhouse.
