*Organizers of the Zappos.com Las Vegas Marathon have selected Sunday Dec. 7 this year for the 26.2-mile jog down the famed Strip and around downtown. They’re predicting that this year’s runner total will exceed 20,000 to beat last year’s 16,000 entrants.

*Golf giant Tiger Woods has landed Van Halen as his guest starring band for this year’s Tiger Jam to be held at Mandalay Bay on April 19. Tickets for the rock icons’—David Lee Roth, Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen—Tiger Jam concert go on sale this Saturday.

*Heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson is still going and going and going with his nightlife routine in Vegas. Not only did he stick to Red Bull and Water when he hit Jet at The Mirage, but he didn’t even take a VIP table. He preferred to roam the club, happily posing for photos with fans including Wee Matt from Beacher’s Madhouse and Jet cocktail server Betsey Allen.
