STARS HANG OUT AS NEW SIGN IS HUNG UP AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD
It was a case of three TV shows filming simultaneously at the Planet Hollywood Resort. In addition to the America’s Got Talent show with David Hasselhoff who also launched his Internet video operation, as we told you above, Snoop Dogg filmed for his reality series while Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee teamed with rapper Ludacris for the new Discovery Channel’s Planet Green Battlefield Earth series.
Snoop got to show old photos of himself that he found on the star-walls of Planet Hollywood to the hotel’s president Mike Mecca.
He also went off with his two sons to race for the cameras at the off-road tracks in nearby Primm, 45 minutes from the Strip. Meantime in-between camera set ups and various shots for their environmental program hip-hop royal Ludacris and tattooed Tommy were joined by Train bassist Johnny Colt. They relaxed with several winning games of blackjack in the Planet Hollywood Resort.
While the stars were at work and play construction crews gingerly erected the new giant Planet Hollywood sign the final part of the resorts $1.6 billion makeover. Lensman Tom Donoghue captured the different stages of the delicate maneuvering and the official “topping off.”
