SPICE GIRLS LAND IN VEGAS DECEMBER 11
BREAKING…JUST ANNOUNCED:
The famous British super group Spice Girls featuring Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton will perform at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m., it was announced early this afternoon. The Spice Girls, one of the world’s most famous girl groups, debuted their first single “Wannabe” in July 1996. The song shot straight to No.1 and the group instantly became a household name and sold millions of albums. They traveled the world, broke numerous records and became part of the cultural fabric of the United States. The group’s greatest hits album, scheduled to be released November 12, charts the history of the band’s music starting with “Wannabe,” which hit No. 1 in the United Kingdom and 30 other countries. Two new songs are featured on the album including “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)” and “Voodoo.” The collection also includes their three consecutive Christmas No. 1 singles (a record they share with The Beatles), “2 Become 1” (1996), “Too Much” (1997) and “Goodbye” (1998).
If ticket sales sell-out within minutes as has happened in other cities, tour organizers will attempt to wedge in a second Vegas show. Victoria Beckham who is married to soccer-star David Beckham will be back in Vegas on Dec. 30 for the opening of Jay Z’s 40/40 club at The Palazzo at the Venetian (see our earlier story today below).
Melanie Brown who was recently married in Vegas will continue rehearsing her Dancing with the Stars routines while jet-setting back and forth across the Atlantic wioth her dance partner for the Spice Girls tour rehearsals!
