PLATINUM PEOPLE PARTY HEARTY
For the past few days, everywhere you’ve turned while enjoying Vegas nightlife it has been a celebrity crush-hour.
It just seems more and more of them are hurrying from Hollywood and bolting the Big Apple to dance up a storm here—sometimes for days without stopping!
Over at the Luxor, Wilmer Valderrama, Kristin Cavallari and Shane West first enjoyed a top-notch meal of surf and turf at the new Company American Bistro, where Valderrama is an investor.
Then they trooped next door to the LAX nightspot and ordered up Grey Goose Vodka and Red Bulls and Patron tequilas at their VIP booth. Wilmer entertained club goers on the mic until the wee hours. Legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash, pro poker star David Williams and comedic hypnotist Anthony Cools watched the packed dance floor antics. Also dining at Company were Luxor headliner Carrot Top and EXTRA TV host Carlos Diaz. The redheaded comic ordered rock shrimp linguine and a venison entrée, while Carlos feasted on the Matzo ball soup and the bistro steak. Poker pro and Survivor star Jean-Robert Bellande ordered up the butter lettuce salad and the juicy Montana petite filet.
It looked like Fight Night at LAX when Tyson (yet again), Oakland Raiders wide receiver Tim Dwight and Mixed martial arts fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson all showed up—and Tyson thrilled the revelers by agreeing to all requests for photos and autographs.
Former American Idol hero Chris Daughtry and members of his Grammy-nominated winning band shared Patron tequila shots in their LAX VIP booth. New Nashville recording artist Laura Bryna premiered her new CD release, and Grammy winning country star Clint Black pulled off an impromptu LAX performance to introduce her. System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan and rapper Doug E. Fresh were also hopping the dance floor tables!
Kristin Cavallari and Shane West also moved up the Strip to party on the VIP main stage at the legendary PURE nightspot in Caesars Palace, with MMA star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at the adjoining table. Also at PURE were Josh Duhon from General Hospital and now-regular Vegas night crawler Mike Tyson.
A slew of star athletes were out in full force at Prive, the new Miami HQ’d nightclub at Planet Hollywood. Santonio Holmes from the Pittsburgh Steerlers joined Marcus Stroud, John Henderson, Mike Peterson, LaBrandon Toefield, Khalif Barnes, Reggie Nelson, John Broussard, Bobby McCray and Clint Ingram of the Jacksonville Jaguars as they partied on the stage.
Also rocking out at Prive were UFC announcer Frank Trigg, the Tattoo Millionaires rock group, former Desperate Housewife actor Mechad Brooks and One Tree Hill actor Brett Claywell.
Actor and filmmaker Vin Diesel made a rare Vegas nightclub appearance at The Bank Nightclub in the Bellagio to publicize his One Race Global Film Foundation. Hordes of beauties flocked to his VIP table, but it was Swedish stunner Sandra Nilsson, Miss January 2008 Playboy Playmate who got closest of all!
Comedians Brad Garrett and Ray Romano came in to support the Film Foundation event after their stand-up gig at The Mirage.
After his sold-out concert at the House of Blues, hip-hop star Lupe Fiasco partied at JET nightclub in The Mirage to celebrate the launch of his hotly anticipated album, The Cool.
After downing Patron shots, he gave an impromptu performance of his smash hit single, “Superstar” with Matthew Santos, causing club-goers to erupt with excitement.
At the Tabu ultra-lounge in MGM Grand, VH1’s Rock of Love reality star Jes Rickleff hosted the Rok Box party with best-friend and fellow cast-member Brandi Mahon.
They enjoyed bottles of Absolut 100 and shots of Washington Apples—which didn’t fall far from the tree! Instead of watching the 2nd season premiere, Jes, who broke Bret’s heart on the first-go round, went off to play blackjack in the MGM casino!
Following his concert at the rival Palm’s Pearl Theater, Lenny Kravitz returned to his Hard Rock Penthouse quarters and enjoyed a late dinner at Robert DeNiro’s new Italian restaurant-lounge hotspot, AGO, which kept their kitchen open late for the rock legend.
He feasted on the Tuscan-style fare until after 1 a.m. and then, re-fueled, blazed through the red carpet into Body English where he joined a galaxy of other musicians, including singer John Mayer, actor Wilmer Valderrama (who’d also enjoyed dinner at AGO), NFL player Jerry Porter of the Oakland Raiders, rapper Too Short and Desperate Housewife Mehcad Brooks. Rapper Doug E. Fresh played host for that party and rocked the house with some old-school beats.
