PLATINUM PARTY PLAYERS AT PURE’S PLAYGROUNDS
It’s certainly fair to describe your nightclub as a “superclub” when Superman himself shows up to party. Brandon Routh, the handsome actor who stars in Superman Returns enjoyed dinner at sushi-sake hotspot Social House in TI to fuel himself for his dance-floor VIP table at Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace. Holding court in the club’s racy Red Room was victorious UFC superstar Antonio Nogueria (which super-hero would win that if it was a match up?).
Fellow UFC fighters Dan Henderson, Nathan Diaz and Matt Lindland partied with Everwood TV star Greg Smith and pro-baseball players Brad Penny and Ryan Klesko. Just a few hours later it was NASCAR’s to party hearty. Jeff Gordon and Elliot Sadler celebrated in separate parties on the VIP stage area with NFL players Shaun Phillips of the San Diego Chargers and Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs. Also there, hip-hop artist Lil Jon—sipping on his standard Patron tequila—who jumped between both sets of sports stars and Miami Ink TV personalities Chris Nunez and Jason Davis with Mixed Martial Arts fighter Frank “Twinkle Toes” Trigg. Paris and Nicky Hilton’s parents, Rick and Kathy had a main-stage table, too alongside UFC welterweight champion George St. Pierre, and Dom Perignon champagne was the drink of choice! At the adjoining Pussycat Dolls Lounge, comedy, TV and film star Tom Green led a cheering squad for the bootylicious busty bombshells’ sassy striptease performances.
Superman Brandon also visited Pure Management Group’s new hot LAX nightclub in the Luxor and ran into regular Mindfreak illusionist Criss Angel (his beard has magically disappeared) entertaining good friend Sully Erna from the Godsmack rock group. Also there, New York Yankee Derek Jeter, team-mates Robinson Cano and pitcher Brad Penny, actor Randy Spelling, Crazy Town rocker Seth “Shifty” Binzer, Minnesota Vikings safety Clevan “Tank” Williams, and for the second consecutive night, comedic actress Anna Faris from the Scary Movie films. UFC fighters Tim Sylvia, Josh Burkman, Dean Lister, Dan Henderson, Michael BiSping and Frank Mir partied at the club, while their boss, Lorenzo Fertitta—who owns the UFC and is also head honcho of Station Casinos—preferred the quieter elegance of the adjoining new Company American Bistro!
Also enjoying the fine food there were Cincinnati Bengals players Charles Fisher and John Thornton. Fighter Frank Trigg ordered up the lobster bisque and the bone-in rib eye steak to keep his energy up, poker star Joe Cassidy also ordered the lobster bisque but picked a roasted veal chop, while the Miami Ink stars both ordered Greek Salads and seared Hawaiian big-eye tunas.
LAX also continued with its $100,000 Miss LAX competition with celebrity judges, UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Mindfreak magician Criss Angel and Godsmack lead vocalist Sully Erna, trying to pick the best-of-the-best from the lineup of sexy ladies. After their judging duties, the trio were joined by Chad Kroeger of Nickleback and Austin Winkler of Hinder for Patron shots plus Belvedere Vodka and Monster Energy cocktails—all to the music of actress Jaimie Pressley’s fiancée, DJ Eric Cubeechee. New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi and actor Kevin McKidd watched all the action alongside.
Please make two notes for your diaries: stylish starlet Kristin Cavallari will have a bevy of beautiful models with her next Tuesday (Feb. 12) at Pure when she hosts the new Stash Clothing fashion showcase. Then pop-princess Ashlee Simpson will party at LAX to celebrate the release of her new Outta My Head record on Saturday Feb. 23. She’s promised a midnight live performance of the hit song for all the frenzied fans that join her at the club.
Up at Treasure Island in Social House, a group of Hawaiian Tropic model beauties turned heads when they took over the Newspaper Dining Room there. Nearby taking in the views of the Strip were former NFL star Eddie George, UFC’s Dan Henderson and baseball’s Brad Penny, who all reveled in the mini Kobe sliders!
The invasion of sports stars seems to grow larger by the week and it also looks as if they’re staying here longer to party than ever before!
