PLATINUM PARTY PEOPLE
It’s been wall-to-wall celebrities the past few days at the PURE properties around town – and because I was away in Los Angeles with the charity chefs, my notebook is now filled with, count ’em, six-nights of revelry for the platinum party people:
Night One: It began with TV’s Alan Thicke and his wife Tanya on the deck of Social House watching the Sirens of TI show, while rapper Mickey Avalon, DJ Steve Aoki and Dyslexic Speed Reader Simon Rex dined in the Asian themed restaurant on Kobe sliders. Then the gang moved downstairs to Tangerine where Avalon hosted the Moonshine party and performed some of his top hits.
Night Two: A bevy of beautiful models sent temperatures rising when they nearly bared all in the new Ed Hardy Intimates Fashion showcase at PURE with the UFC’s current light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the VIP section with music industry producer/mogul, Scott Storch.
Night Three: Scott was back the next night at the new LAX nightclub in the Luxor, while Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter, Wanderlei Silva entertained his friends with shots of Patron tequila and dancing through the early morning hours. Earlier in the night, other LAX guests, including Ryan Cabrera and BMX athlete Dave Mirra, hit Social House for Chef Joe Ellevado’s specialties, including sushi rolls, Kobe beef sliders and teriyaki chicken.
Night Four: The headline-makers first gathered at Social House for supper: renowned choreographer Shane Sparks from “So You Think You Can Dance” sampled the sashimi and sakes at the sushi bar, while Tampa Bay Buccaneers honcho Bryan Glazer entertained a large group in the private dining room with chicken teriyaki and cold sake. Then everybody moved onto LAX at the Luxor where Dave Mirra got mobbed by fans but happily took photos with them all night long.
Night 5: Miami Ink co-stars, Ami James and Chris Nunez palled up for dinner in Social House and VIP service at Tangerine and then joined their co-star Darren Brass along with Cisco Adler from Whitestar, actor Frankie Muniz, MLB first baseman Mo Vaughan and Jack Osbourne for the fun at LAX.
Night Six: Jack, Frankie and professional body builder Victor Martinez, who placed 2nd in the Mr. Olympia contest, grabbed a daytime group of pals, including Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin, for fun at the Venus Pool Club in Caesars Palace and then hit Social House at TI for a long dinner before moving onto PURE at Caesars Palace. Meantime, the other celebrities in town flocked to LAX at the Luxor: comic Pauly Shore, actress Mena Suvari, Mindfreak magician Criss Angel with his new bearded look, 90210 alum Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, newly crowned Mr. Olympia Jay Cuttler, famed French chef Joel Robuchon, Madhouse host Jeff Beacher and Jaime Pressley’s other half, DJ Eric Cubeechee. Meantime, Miami Ink co-owners and stars, Chris Nunez and Ami James hosted their party at Tangerine in TI with Mena Suvari before they all wound up at LAX for final nightcaps.
