The most reviled woman in England—and possibly the Western world—Heather Mills is headed for Vegas and billionaire developer Donald Trump has picked her to be a judge at his Miss USA beauty pageant to be broadcast on NBC April 11 from the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Trump’s decision to hire Mills came just hours after she won a less than expected $49 million settlement in her divorce from Beatle Paul McCartney. She had been seeking upwards of $100 million but a judge in the case made the final monetary decision reprimanding her from the bench as an unreliable witness.

Statisticians said her brief marriage to the former Beatle worked out to be worth more than $10,000 an hour! On her way out of the London courtroom yesterday (MON) she dumped a glass of water over her ex-husband’s lady lawyer in protest.

One New York source told me this evening: “It’s a typical Donald Trump publicity play. He gets huge headlines whether she’s a good girl or a bad girl. He wins and hopes all the stories will drum up viewer interest for good ratings.”

Mills is expected to arrive in Vegas on April 6 from London. The current Miss USA, Rachel Smith who took over for Tara Connor, the previous year’s winner, will crown the new pageant winner.
