PARIS HILTON’S PARENTS TALK FOR THE FIRST TIME ABOUT HER NEW ROMANCE WITH GOOD CHARLOTTE ROCKER
If Good Charlotte rocker, Benji Madden “pops the question” to party princess gal pal Paris Hilton he doesn’t have to worry about her parents reaction. They’re quite ready to welcome him into the family as their son-in law!
“He’s the perfect example of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’,” her dad Rick Hilton told me. “He’s polite, well-mannered—even calls me sir! We love him like family already. Benji doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke and is a healthy vegan!” Mom Kathy added: “He’s changed her life—and I really think she’s genuinely in love for the first time. He’s so good to her and for her. We couldn’t be happier for them. This has honestly become the real thing.”
Paris, now 27, and Benji, 28, first met here in Vegas when both were solo over Valentine’s Day weekend! They’ve been inseparable ever since and posed for their first ever photo together specially for Luxe Life a month later when they went to see The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage. Benji promised me then: “I will guard her with my life and make sure only the best and beautiful comes her way.”
I told Rick and Kathy of the rocker’s vow when I chatted with them at the Ivana Trump wedding. “We agree with Paris that he is an amazing guy,” said Kathy. “Their life has never been better.” Even Paris is completely candid about the Vegas love match: “I’ve never felt so happy and in love.” Rick told me that Benji and Paris were together in London as part of the Good Charlotte European tour.
Paris, who is about to be seen in the new film Repo! The Genetic Opera (check out the Web site and trailer at Repo-Opera.com added: “I’ve been on tour with my boyfriend for almost a month now. We’ve been everywhere from South Africa to all around Europe. Its been so much fun. I’ve gone to their shows every night and I now know every song by heart. I love Good Charlotte—they rock. It has been an amazing and memorable experience.” She jetted back and forth to Montreal for the two-day launch of her new shoe line—and promptly returned to Benji! Next up for Paris when she returns to Los Angeles will be her new MTV reality show as she tries to add a new best female friend to her fun-filled hectic life: ParisBFF.com
Meantime other daughter Nikki who was in Helsinki is happily dating Hollywood mogul, David Katzenberg. Mom Kathy summed up: “Now both girls are happy with their romances. We are so proud of them and very happy that Paris has found somebody just as special. Benji is great. They are both very lucky and it’s a perfect matchup. Since they’ve been together Paris has changed so much. She’s calmed, stopped running and now has a very real purpose—and its beautiful to see two wonderful people so perfect together. It’s a great love match and I have a funny feeling it’s going to go all the way and we’ve already given it our approval!”
