PAMELA ANDERSON’S NEW EUROPEAN JETSET LIFE & DID SHE FORGET TO WEAR HER PANTS?
For most of the time since becoming a Vegas showgirl life has been magical for bountiful bombshell Pamela Anderson.
The only real hiccup has been the bust-up of her quickie Vegas marriage to poker-playing porno-film-maker Rick Salomon. Although she’s not dating any new guys and happy at home playing mom she’s been jetting to and from Europe for showbiz appearances and is now becoming a real-estate developer in her Canadian hometown!
The European press—in Germany, Holland and England—went ballistic over the “Babewatch” blonde when she arrived at Tegel Airport in Berlin. It was her second trip in less than two weeks—she’d appeared at the Crazy Horse burlesque show wearing next to-nothing while writhing on a Harley Davidson motorcycle a fortnight earlier.
This time the 40-year-old got all-star treatment being rushed through security, immigration and customs and into a waiting chauffeured limousine. Then the headlines and photos really started screaming when at the next day’s press conference she kissed, locked lips, hugged and snuggled up close to Dutch magician Hans Klok. It was their first
reunion after they had starred together in The Beauty of Magic last year on the Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort.
“A Spring Fling” crowed one headline. “New Springtime Romance,” screamed another. “Pamela Finds New Love Again” yelled a third. They all reported it was a match made in heaven but all untrue and just part of the publicity machine for her TV special Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel, which recreated their highlights from the Vegas show. Upon returning from Europe, Pamela yesterday (WED) told TV talk-show host Ellen Degeneres that she’s not dating anyone currently: “There is no new man in my life. There is no new boyfriend.” While performing in Vegas Hans had admitted he was gay.
But the couple wowed crowds of adoring European fans. For the TV special Pamela wore a flowing white gown and was levitated up almost 25 feet high. He also magically picked her up with a rose in his mouth and spun her around. Critics raved about their magical partnership—and the saucy British Press had a photo field day with her bottom-less stage outfit: a breast-baring, bursting-open jacket without pants!
The sex symbol and animal rights activist will be thrilled to know that the Crazy Horse Paris executives have decided to invite her back for a reprise at the cabaret revue both in the French capital and here in Vegas at MGM. Now home again in Malibu she’s content dropping her sons off and picking them up from school. Previously married to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock she is now in a divorce fight with Salomon citing fraud as the grounds for dissolution of their less than four-month marriage.
She’s also got all of Canada, her native country, abuzz about her plans to develop a 5-acre waterfront property once owned by her grandparents on the eastern shores of Vancouver island in the pristine resort town of Ladysmith—population just 7,500. Pamela’s proposal for six buildings on the waterfront there of townhouses and apartments was filed in late February.
Pamela herself insisted that she didn’t want trees chopped down and that it would be an environmentally friendly project and its already won positive reactions from most of the town’s residents. “She’s got a real good head on her shoulders and a knack for business,” said one Ladysmith resident. Prices for the properties haven’t yet been set but Pamela said: “The reason that we can preserve so many trees is we’re proposing to build up rather than out and cover the entire site with buildings.”
Meantime—on a side note—adult film actor Ron Jeremy has blasted Hollywood celebrities for acting horrified when their private sex-tapes surprisingly turn up. “I’m pleased that sex tapes by Pamela and Paris Hilton have actually revitalized our adult film industry. But they are not the innocent victims they claim to be. I’m convinced they actually leak these naked frolics to boost their careers and star power. I love the excuses they use when they know full well a juicy sex scandal can only help them do even better—but ironically it helps my industry with a real boost too.”
