Singer Clint Holmes got down on bended knee and proposed to three-year girlfriend, singer Kelly Clinton yesterday- and now the romantic couple are happily engaged. She showed me the gorgeous sparkling cluster of diamonds while slightly teary-eyed. “I cant tell you just how happy I am” she said. Clint told me “I told my children that we’d become engaged right afterwards and everything is fine. It just felt the right time to propose and we’re both thrilled.” It will be Kelly’s first marriage and Clint’s second.

Meantime I’m hearing pretty good whispers out of the Venetian that Clint will land a dream gig there doing concerts when resident headliners Wayne Brady and Gordie Brown aren’t performing. Apparently Venetian hotel execs are in negotiation with Clint’s business people. Its all perfect for the most beloved of Vegas show-people.
