MEET AMERICA’S KITCHEN SWEETHEART, RACHAEL RAY
Crowds of fans are expected today when TV talk-show host and kitchen’s reigning culinary queen, Rachael Ray autographs her new cookbook, Just In Time.
She’ll be at the Sur La Table culinary store in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
On a filming trip here for her show, Rachael’s “Insider Tips” wound up recommending:
*The Top of the World restaurant at the Stratosphere’s 106th floor for the best view of Vegas.
*Take a tour of the Ethel M Chocolate Factory to sample the gourmet confections and walk off the calories in the 2.5-acre Cactus Garden with its 350 different species of desert plants.
*For the best free shows, watch the musical fountains at the Bellagio, the volcano at the Mirage and the Sirens pirate battle at Treasure Island.
*She also encouraged viewers visiting Vegas to get off the Strip and head for restaurants off the beaten path to save money and get in more sightseeing!
In addition to being a Food Network personality with four different series, Rachael launched her own syndicated daytime program with Oprah Winfery and CBS. Rachael has authored 14 cookbooks and is now also editor in chief of her own lifestyle magazine. Not bad for the girl who landed in Manhattan selling candy behind a Macy’s counter. But it was while managing the bars and restaurants at the famed Sagamore resort on Lake George in upstate New York she decided to teach 30-minute Mediterranean meal courses on the local Albany TV station. From that she exploded and now her trademark meals of 15-minutes, 30-minutes and 60-minutes have turned her into a major TV food star.
Call it hearty helpful health in a hurry! You’d better rush because it’ll be the fastest celebrity book-signing in town!
