MARIO LOPEZ HOSTS ‘BOOBS OR BUST’ COSMETIC SURGERY CONTEST
Love-mates Mario Lopez and his Dancing with the Stars partner, Karina Smirnoff were close-as-could-be when they spent a four-day mini-vacation in Vegas.
In a corner table they cuddled their way through a fast first dinner at STACK steakhouse restaurant in the Mirage, enjoying yellowtail sashimi, sea bass and the surf & turf for dinner and jelly doughnut munchkin holes for dessert. Karina sipped on a “raspberry sin” and Mario enjoyed the “impaired”—two of the bar’s specialty cocktails. They then raced off for one of Celine Dion’s final shows at Caesars.
The couple were then spotted all over town: at the Palms, at MGM Grand and back at Stack for a second meal— but when it came time for Mario to host the bizarre “ Boobs Or Bust” plastic surgery party at JET nightclub in the Mirage, Karina was nowhere to be found! I ask again: presumably the paycheck was worth the appearance? Fifty female contestants wanting bigger bosoms battled each other for the $5,000 breast augmentation first prize. They had to flirt and scheme clever ways to win ‘Boob Buck” tips from bottle-service customers who’d been given 600,000 worth of certificates to help their favorite contestant.
Madhouse host Jeff Beacher played Santa Claus at the party and brought his new mini Spice Girl elves along to add to the fun.
Mario held court in a VIP booth with Vodka and Red Bull cocktails and moved and grooved as they sang “If You Wanna Be My Lover.” Eventually the contestants were “measured” by who had the most “Boob Bucks” stacked up head to toe, and Mario awarded the grand-prize to Sarah Olson. In her acceptance speech she assured the club goers she was “going off to get them done as soon as possible.”
Last January, Mario hosted the Miss America contest across the Strip at the Planet Hollywood Theater, and although nobody knows yet if he’ll be back again next month, pageant officials confirm that their contestants are “all natural.”
