LINDSAY CONFIRMS NEW YEARS EVE PLANS AT PURE
Newly-released from rehab, 21-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan confirmed last night the rumors we reported yesterday in Luxe Life that she will indeed host PURE’s giant New Year’s Eve celebration.
The Caesars Palace nightspot had originally booked the young movie star for an Independence Day weekend party on July 2 earlier this summer, but instead she cancelled last minute and wound-up in the restrictive clinic near Salt Lake City, Utah for a two-months-plus stay. Lindsay’s Dec 31 party will put her into a head-to-head battle with competing sisters Paris Hilton and Nicky who are hosting their NYE bash simultaneously at the rival LAX nightclub in Luxor.
“The Pure Management Group now effectively controls the top available talent for New Year’s in Vegas,” I was told. “They own the city already. No other club here can compete now.”
Incidentally, the PURE Management Group, which is planning a club in Miami and already has one in the Bahamas, is stretching even further. Its executives just returned from a secret trip to the Chinese gaming enclave of Macau where a mini-Vegas is being built. Venetian owner Sheldon Adelson, hotel mogul Steve Wynn, and former Venetian executive David Freidman are already well entrenched in Macau with casino-entertainment resorts and PURE is in talks there to open versions of its Vegas nightspots on the islands–just 30-minutes away from Hong Kong.
Meantime PMG’s newest venture, Company, a unique bistro-restaurant concept with Nicky Hilton, Nick Lachey and Wilmer Valderrama as investor partners will definitely open mid-November after a Nov 12 “fun-days” soft opening. Expect all the stars there for the grand opening later in the month–and all of them, including Lindsay, Paris and Nicky, on New Year’s Eve!
