LATEST ON O.J. SIMPSON’S LAS VEGAS ARREST
Clark County District Attorney David Roger said this afternoon (SUN) that prosecutors plan to charge Simpson within the hour with two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery, a charge of burglary with a deadly weapon and two further counts of assault with a deadly weapon and coercion.
The DA said that a conviction on the most serious charges could result in a sentence of 3 to 35 years on each count. “He is facing a lot of time.”
An official press conference has been scheduled now for 3:30pm. Meantime six police cruisers and two motor-cyclists have moved into position at the Decatur and Oakey police station ready to transfer Simpson to downtown HQ’s. Two other police trucks have been moved onto an entrance driveway to keep photographers away from the transfer site.
