Pop-superstar Justin Timberlake, who is nominated for seven awards at next weekend’s MTV–VMA show at the Palms, came into town early for a mini-vacation before his two back-to-back weekend concerts at Mandalay Bay. His mom and best friend Trace Ayala led his entourage – but rumored new gal-pal, actress Jessica Biel was nowhere to be seen.

Justin started out his first night at Japanese restaurant Nobu in the Hard Rock resort where sake toasts ran nonstop. Next night he had David Spade and Mark McGrath join the group to watch Kid Rock’s concert at the Pearl in the Palms. After the show, Kid took over the main party booth in the MOON nightclub atop the Palms Fantasy Tower with 30-pals and wound up playing DJ for over an hour.

Justin and a small group raced over to the NYNY resort casino to watch the pre-midnight show of Cirque du Soleil’s erotic sexy Zumanity cabaret. After Justin’s first Mandalay Bay show, he brought along star and prolific producer Timbaland, maestro of next Sunday’s MTV award show, for an extraordinary impromptu show at JET nightclub in the Mirage. The two best buddies took over the DJ booth; singing and playing their own hits to a packed house of frenzied fans who actually stopped dancing in awe just to watch the two superstars at play. For an hour the multi-millionaires played each other’s hits, JT’s Love Stoned, Sexy Back, My Love and Timbaland’s, The Way I Are, Chop me Up, and their new smash hit collaboration, Technology.

They rapped along to their records and amplified the beat-box to keep time to their music. It might just have been a sample of what’s to come next Sunday at the Palms. Justin’s parents, best friend Trace and all the backup dancers from his tour partied until almost 5 a.m.! The next night, Justin was back for more, but first at 1:30 a.m. he wanted a late-night stack at the STACK restaurant. Although it was closed, his JET pals got the kitchen opened up and Justin with his entourage took over the High Limit lounge where a banquet style meal of tuna tacos, wings, yellowtail sashimi and penne pasta was served up to the hungry group. You can expect both Tims and JT to be back at JET next weekend for their VMA after-parties.

Ironically, Justin was just steps away from his former flame, actress Cameron Diaz - who was inside JET – but their paths never crossed!
