JOSS DONATES DRESS & GOES SHOPPING AS SHANNA IS “CROWNED” FOR HER BIRTHDAY
It was sunning, shopping and a show for British singing sensation and multi-platinum artist, Joss Stone. Shortly after checking in to the Hard Rock Hotel she whipped out her credit card in the Love Jones sexy store and bought a hot pink swimsuit covered in Swarovski crystals by Chio, multi-colored floral print tights, bronzing body shimmer by Booty Parlor and a Voluspa scented candle. Although she talked about the funky sunglasses the sales girl was wearing Joss didn’t buy a pair! The next day she spent lounging on a day bed at the Hard Rock pool. Prior to her sold-out concert in The Joint she was presented with a showcase dedicated to her career.
Paul Davis, vice president of entertainment for the resort casino told me: “She is a fantastic young up and coming superstar. She’s a four time Grammy nominee—she’s the real deal.” The unique display includes a dress, which Joss wore in the music video “Tell Me What We’re Gonna Do Now.” She told fans including our lens man J. Ludwig who captured all our shots that she has vivid memories of wearing the dress during the video shoot because it was freezing outside.
Leading her cheering squad at The Joint concert was actor-comedian Drew Carey with four adoring ladies and Sal Masakela of Body English’s Smashtime and the Daily 10 E! Network TV show. Afterwards everybody partied at the Body English nightclub where Sal’s co-host DJ Clinton Sparks spun the discs.
Over at the new Privé nightclub in Planet Hollywood Resort sexy Shanna Moakler was strutting her sassy stuff. The former Miss USA beauty queen, centerfold Playboy magazine playmate and now reality TV actress joined 40 of her closest friends for a wild birthday celebration.
She arrived first in a shimmering stunning sequined black dress. There were birthday shots of Patron tequila and guests included I Love New York’s Tailor Made plus famed NY celebrity publicist Lizzie Grubman. Shanna changed later into jeans and a black shirt to show off her Dancing with the Stars skills. She was presented with a beauty pageant crown to wear while she enjoyed a sparkling birthday cake. It was a Mad-Hatter styled confectionary creation decorated with pink roses and another tiara. Also there for the fun was comedienne Wanda Sykes but no sign of Shanna’s now separated husband, tattooed drummer Travis Barker!
