HOURS BEFORE HUGE CHARITY CONCERT TIGER WOODS UNDERGOES DRAMATIC SURGERY

Luxe Life will follow this developing story today (WED) and hopefully learn from his Tiger Woods Foundation offices if he will be able to still travel to Vegas maybe on crutches and in a wheelchair for the giant fundraising event or have to send videotaped greetings.

Tiger has raised more than $10 million for his foundation since he and father Earl started the annual concerts back in 1996. The funds have reached 10 million young people through character development, career exploration, scholarships and grant-making programs right here in Las Vegas through our Boys & Girls Club, the greater Las Vegas Inner City Games and Child Haven.

He was due to salute some of the achieving youngsters on stage on Saturday before introducing the touring rock stars. “Van Halen is one of my favorite bands,” he said, before playing the famed Augusta golf course for the Masters last week where he finished second. “Tiger Jam XI will be incredible with Van Halen and I can’t wait to see them perform on the Tiger Jam stage.”

But yesterday (TUES) the 32-year-old No. 1 world golf star wound up in Park City, Utah where surgeon Dr. Thomas Rosenberg performed arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to repair cartilage damage; it was the second operation on the same knee within five years. Tiger hopes to be ready to play again in the June 12 U.S. Open but admitted last night (TUES) that he will most probably miss the players championship for the first time in his career.

In 2006 Tiger was the highest paid professional athlete in the world having earned over $100 million from his product endorsements, commercials and golf winnings. Golf Digest has predicted that by 2010 he will become the world’s first billionaire athlete. Everybody at Luxe Life wishes him a speedy and successful recovery. Keep checking back to Luxe Life for breaking news postings as to the status of his still hoped for appearance at Tiger Jam over the weekend.
