FROM ZERO TO $100 MILLION IN 12 MONTHS! TERRY FATOR’S MIND-BLOWING NEW MIRAGE DEAL
Rumblings out of MGM Mirage this afternoon suggest that singing comedy-ventriloquist Terry Fator has just signed a mindblowing five-year $100 million deal to star at the resort-casino as of Valentine’s Day next year.
The sweetheart deal also calls for the Texan entertainer to be given the Danny Gans theater, which will be renamed “The Terry Fator Theater.” He will be performing in tandem with the Cirque du Soleil’s Beatle Love musical, which took over the former Siegfried & Roy theater after the magic illusionists due to Roy’s tiger injury after a 14-year sell-out run.
I’m reliably told that Hilton executives will “graciously allow” the star performer to be released from the remainder of his Hilton appearance contract and that all parties involved will make the announcement official prior to next weekend, May 17. I’m also told that Terry is stunned and in disbelief at the contract opportunity.
Danny, as previously reported here at Luxe Life moves over to Steve Wynn’s new Encore theater replacing the Spamalot musical that will end its run there this summer. It’s expected that Danny will move into the Encore this November to tie in with the opening of Wynn’s new Encore resort addition.
It caps an amazing year for the ventriloquist who last summer was a “basic unknown comedy-singer with puppets” before he won the $1 million top prize in the America’s Got Talent TV show on NBC. Ironically, the show is filming new episodes this weekend in the Planet Hollywood theater. Fator’s rise to super stardom has been incredible and at breakneck speed. In addition to the top cash prize he also won a spot in the Jubilee! show at Bally’s, but Hilton snapped him up with a series of more regular weekend special run appearances which have been box office blockbusters. The rumors of the pending Terry Fator move were first published by Michael Politz in his Vegas Food & Beverage magazine and reported here earlier this week. Luxe Life takes pleasure in now being the first to break the definite contract signing news and details.
For Terry it fulfills a dream to be a full time performer in Vegas after years of touring in small summer shows around the South-West. Next week Luxe Life will reprise our interview with him from late last year where he revealed the anguish, loneliness and perils of touring as an unknown for so many years.
Congratulations to Terry who becomes the Strip’s newest superstar!
