FINANCIAL FAILURES PLAGUE THE JACKSON FAMILY—THE TRAGIC TALE OF THEIR FALL FROM FAME & FORTUNE

It’s almost too troubling to believe! Just how did the sensational show business Jackson family go from glory days to alleged troubled times? As Luxe Life readers know Michael Jackson recently ended a three-month stay at the Palms resort casino here and as yet has not resurfaced.

Patriarch Joe Jackson is a regular Vegas visitor trying to promote money making schemes and girl groups here—and he believes he can resurrect the entertainment careers of the former global powerhouse act. We have already reported that brothers Marlon, Randy, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie have been negotiating for a new Vegas strip show residency at the now shuttered Asia nightclub—restaurant in Planet Hollywood Resort’s Miracle Mile.

Janet apparently now fears that her parents will lose their Hayvenhurst home in Encino, California where Jackie and Randy still live and Jermaine sometimes stays. As a precaution against any rumored foreclosure and eviction Janet has purchased a home here in Vegas for them to live near to oldest sister Rebbie who has been married for 35 years.

My former pals on the New York Post say the family filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection listing debts in excess of $45 million. As a result the paper says today one brother works as a supermarket shelf stocker and another’s odd jobs include fixing cars in a garage owned by a friend helping him out. “It’s all a far cry when they were earning hundreds of thousands of dollars with seven figure paydays for a single show, selling millions of albums and thrilling 50,000 fans at a time willing to pay $50 for tickets,” said the reporters Stacy Brown and James Fanelli.

Some observers blame their downfall on Michael Jackson who once upon a time generously supported the siblings—but never released their music on his MJJ record label. The tabloid claims that the only member of the family still in contact with him is 77-year-old mother, Katherine.

“Like their days growing up in hardscrabble Gary, Indiana the Jacksons are approaching poverty,” claimed the Post. “Those were tough times back then when Katherine scoured thrift shops to clothe the brood. These are tough times again now—really dark fiscal troubles and often their workers go without paychecks. Their fortune crumbled from a slew of bad investments, stubborn pride, IRS debts, child support, divorces, and poor advice.”

But responds family leader Joe: “We can get back out there and set the world on fire. If The Rolling Stones can still rake in the money so too can my boys.” They are all praying and hoping the Vegas deal is finalized soon by their first touring show promoter to put them back on the money train!”
