One of the first red pianos that the Rocket Man used on stage at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace has a new home as of tonight. Sir Elton John actually gives his red-pianos girl-names, and this one is called Fiona.

It goes on display in the new Loft 5 condo project on the south-strip at the first move-in party and showcase for the first model suite. There’s an intriguing tale behind the question “what’s it doing there?” During the AIDS benefit auction at the Cannes Film Festival, Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone put the red Fiona piano up for auction. ADG Capital, one of the Loft 5 partners shelled out well over $100,000 for the used piano—and it’s now going to be on permanent display in the lobby of the new condo lofts! There will be a silent auction during the cocktail reception to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
