CHER FINALLY ARRIVES!

The long-awaited arrival of superstar singer Cher and my old friends, managers Roger Davis and Lindsay Scott finally takes place today (TUES). Delayed by a week Cher will immediately begin non-stop rehearsals for her May 6 premiere at Caesars Palace.

On Saturday this week Cher will be joined by fellow singing legend Tina Turner for a one-hour taping by talk-show titan Oprah Winfrey at the Colosseum Theater. Oprah will broadcast the exclusive interviews on Thursday, May 8—just two days after Cher’s opening night. For the record—as to why we call these “Lady Legends”—Cher has sold over 200 million discs and Tina has sold over 100 million. “The set is finished, the costumes are all ready, the stage is complete—we’re ready to go. Everything is working mechanically and computer synched. This is going to be Cher’s most magnificent show ever seen and heard,” one production official told me.
