CELEBRITIES OPEN NEW SUMMER BEACH SEASON
The stars partied for three consecutive days at Tao in The Venetian to celebrate the re-opening of the Tao beach for its second summer season. It all began Night One with the club’s salute to the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s Thriller album—still the world’s biggest selling album of all time. The club had been decorated with dancing silhouettes of Michael and a huge neon “Thriller 25” sign. Even Michael’s father Joe Jackson turned up for the festivities.
NBC-TV’s Lipstick Jungle actress Lindsay Price celebrated her older brother Bryan’s birthday with six of her close friends. First they dined in Tao’s Asian themed restaurant on Kobe Beef and lobster wontons. Alongside were Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford and his best friend, Shawn Pyfrom of Desperate Housewives fame. After the Miss USA beauty pageant was over Chace’s sister, Miss Missouri, Candice joined them.
Also dining was Fantastic Four actor Chris Evans—and before Night Two was over all palled up in the nightclub above with Eddie Murphy and his longtime pal Arsenio Hall celebrating Eddie’s birthday yet again. Luxe Life will have Eddie’s birthday bash photos tomorrow. Late-night talk show host Carson Daly and famed Australian photographer Peter Lik also partied there.
It was a real Hollywood invasion on both Day Three and Night Three with the stars soaking up the sun poolside at the reopening of the Tao beach. Included were Lindsay Price, Chace Crawford, Wilmer Valderama, Chris Evans, Joey Fatone, Christian Siriano, Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Kardashian, Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon, Desperate Housewives actor Shawn Pyfrom, MSNBC-TV chief Dan Abrahms, and Shawne Merriman of the San Diego Chargers. Lindsay slipped off her Karen Zambos dress to display a white bikini that caught the eye of Chace and the couple wound up in his cabana with her telling him what a fan of Gossip Girls she was! The Kardashian clan—minus Kim—had their own private cabana where Robert’s girlfriend, Adrienne Bailon joined the party. Also Keeping up with the Kardashians was Kourtney’s boyfriend, Scott and that foursome all wound up cuddling at the pool. Hottest hunks of the pool scene were Project Runway’s star Christian Siriano and NFL player Shawne Merriman who’d met the night before at the Miss USA pageant—and decided to hang out together for the photographers.
Christian hosted the evening celebrations. With friends including best pal Brad Walsh they dined on assorted sushi, lobster wontons and Chilean sea bass. At another table the Kardashians with Robert and Adrienne feasting on pad thai noodles and Kobe Beef. The glittery group from the day-pool kept the fun going by night.
Christian was surprised with a champagne sparkler presentation, Adrienne surprised boyfriend Robert with a birthday cupcake platter and a long loving kiss and the club’s staff saluted co-owner Jason Strauss on his birthday with a giant cake featuring an image of Braveheart with his face superimposed.
