The photographs will be horrifying. The truth will be shocking and sad.
That’s how OK Magazine’s chief editor Sarah Ivens describes tomorrow‘s issue covering her exclusive interview and photo-shoot with pop princess Britney Spears. Others who witnessed the stars near collapse during the shoot described her as “tragic” and “totally lost.”
One of her former managers on a visit to Vegas told me: “This is a soap opera of gigantic proportions. You have no idea of its daily nightmares. I am glad to be out of it. It is beyond help or change.”
The “disastrous total meltdown” combined with Britney’s bizarre behavior now threatens her plans to host the grand opening celebrations of PURE’s new multi-million-dollar LAX nightclub at the Luxor to kick off Labor Day weekend on August 31.
She has been on a roller-coaster train wreck ride ever since her New Year’s Eve collapse at PURE and a stint in a Malibu rehab treatment center. Just a few days ago she shocked photographers by stripping down to her scanty underwear and plunging into the Pacific Ocean near her home.
“We spent a heartbreaking day with Britney and witnessed firsthand an emotional cry for help that will leave you shocked and sad. But the truth must be told - it was a total disaster,” said Sarah.
Showbiz experts are saying that it’s so bad and ugly that it will potentially end Britney’s career.
“The magazine was faced with a very difficult decision to kill the photos and interview to save her—or go with what Britney had originally requested and arranged herself when she sold the rights for the exclusive to OK,” I was told. “It would have been a blatant lie if they’d published a washed, cleansed version of what happened instead of telling the truth. Good old-fashioned journalism won out over a puff-piece.”
Now comes the shocking rumor that Britney is also pregnant again, with a third child—but allegedly doesn’t even know who the father is! Insiders say she was having an affair simultaneously with her bodyguard and a drug counselor! That could explain why during the OK photo shoot she complained of looking “too fat” and insisted on using fashions two sizes smaller! Apparently the wardrobe stylist was unable to prevent “little rolls of body fat from squeezing out.”
I’m told that everybody from her ex-husband, Kevin Federline to her mom, Jamie and the entire Spears family have talked about “a major intervention to save her life” and hope to commit her for proper medical treatment rather than returning to the softer-approach at the Promises rehab center. They are hoping to achieve that before this weekend, which would stop Britney’s plans to attend Fergie’s concert at the Palms.
LUXE LIFE points out that since we weren’t present personally, what follows are alleged reports from the OK set but are certainly disturbing enough to warrant a “very tough-love intervention”:
• One insider said, “She was completely out of it. She was wasted and her behavior was outrageous. She was babbling like a baby and kept on fondling her own body.
• Another eyewitness, describing what was identical to what I myself saw New Years Eve at PURE when she collapsed, reported, “Her eyes rolled back in her head at one point as if she was half-dead. Her head just couldn’t stay straight; just lolling around on her neck.”
• One also claimed that Britney’s uncontrollable mood swings and paranoia extended to screaming that “everybody was ridiculing her” and the “ceiling was about to collapse on everybody.”
• She allegedly showed up three hours late for the session she’d organized herself- and then eventually took off abruptly without finishing the project.
• One person on the set said when Britney’s new puppy London went to the bathroom, the star used an expensive brand-new designer dress to clean up the mess!
• Another individual reported that Britney ordered fried chicken to be delivered and then wiped her hands clean on another high-priced Gucci outfit.
• The crew was shocked that Britney went to the bathroom so many times during the shoot—without bothering to close the door.
• Britney would only allow two friends to do her hair and makeup rather than the high-priced Beverly Hills experts hired by the magazine— “she just wouldn’t let them touch her,” one report stated.
Now that advance copies of OK Magazine’s issue have started turning up, LUXE LIFE can report that the publication claims Britney stormed out of her photo-shoot taking thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and clothes. The magazine will actually print a chart listing what she ran out with:
$12,861 in jewelry, a $974 Vera Wang dress, a $281 Pucci scarf, a $380 pair of Lanvin shoes, the fried chicken-greased $274 dress and the dog-soiled $6,700 Zac Posen gown, totaling $21,267!
Says OK: “We are showing this dark side of fame in the hope that she recognizes her need to get proper help to deal with her problems.”
The magazine publishes a day-by-day rundown of her bizarre behavior before and after the shoot, plus an almost hour-by-hour run-down of all the nightmares and disasters on-set.
As a result of her dangerous and erratic mood swings, former husband Kevin Federline has already moved to seek full-time custody of their two children. He’s approved his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan to redraft their divorce settlement to get the kids out of Britney’s care. An insider confirmed to OK, “He’s angry the kids are in jeopardy. He can’t believe she’s gotten so out of control. He didn’t want to believe she had completely lost it. He’s worried about Sean and Jayden’s safety at this point.”
Apparently OK magazine agreed to pay the $1-million fee that Britney first demanded for the exclusive photo shoot and interview. But after her three-hour tardy arrival, on-set meltdown and failing to complete the photo shoot and interview before she ran out, the publication is not paying. Accordingly, for those legal reasons, that’s the reasoning OK decided not to show the few horrifying photos they did shoot. Instead, OK is running shots of Britney’s near skinny dip in red bra and silver panties in the ocean a day before the shoot and an unflattering photo shot by the paparazzi outside the Hollywood Hills mansion they’d rented for the day when she fled. Once again, it shows her in a short dress revealing her underwear!
For now, Pure Management Group is going ahead with its August 31 plans to have Britney opened its new LAX nightclub at the Luxor resort hotel casino. The main celebrity investors and financial backers are rival pop-queen Christine Aguilera and DJ AM, who used to date Nicole Ritchie. The nightspot is a spin-off from its famous sister star-studded Los Angeles club.
“LAX is going to blow people away with its sheer beauty and design,” said Robert Frey, Managing Partner of Pure Management Group. “When guests come to LAX, they are going to be treated to a nightclub experience unlike any other and one that leaves a lasting impression.”
The unrivaled décor will feature a top-tier sound system perfect for multiple music styles. Nightlife experts are already saying the 26,000 square-foot, two-story space will be one of the most talked about clubs in the country. LAX will be outfitted in rich, red leathers and adorned with oversized mirrors and shimmering chandeliers, creating a modern and luxurious feel throughout the venue.
“LAX will have that extra wow factor that other clubs are missing,” said Luxor President & COO, Felix Rappaport. “We are excited for our guests to experience this one-of-a-kind venue.”
A swanky dance floor anchors the lower level of LAX and is surrounded by an abundance of VIP tables and a raised DJ platform for resident DJ Vice to play on from sun-down to sun-up. The second story of LAX will serve as an ultra-VIP level and features seven individual VIP lofts as well as a private dance floor where Britney is set to hangout on her visit. Seemingly suspended over the main dance floor, each VIP loft has a bird’s-eye view of the lower level.
PURE’s management team still expect Britney to show for the grand opening weekend.
“We have a signed contract from her,” I was told. But I couldn’t get any answer officially when I asked if a backup plan would be put in place due to the OK revelations.
