The possible tour marks an end to all the headlines that have plagued the one-time troubled star since her downhill spiral that ironically included a disastrously critqued MTV Video Music Awards performance at the same Pearl theater last September.

Manager Larry Rudolph, who is an investor partner in the new Sunset Tan at George’s just opened Palms Place condo-tel, is once again steering Britney’s comeback career.

Britney and George had an intimate dinner together at the Sur restaurant in Beverly Hills and 24-hours later he was back at the Palms for the family-and-friends tryouts of the new Simon Restaurant on the 6th floor spa and pool deck, which has its grand opening this Thursday.

I tried to pry out of the Palms owner what big news he had in store for us, but he was totally tight-lipped except to agree that “some big news will come at the right time.”

The newly-rehabbed singer has been working in recent weeks on singing and dance studio rehearsals to jump-start her career.

She’s also making a second appearance in less than a month as loopy receptionist Abby on this week’s em>How I Met Your Mother CBS-TV series with Neil Patrick Harris.

Britney’s night-out in Hollywood with George included a visit to Larry on the set of MTV’s Rock the Cradle where he serves as a judge. They also celebrated the family court judge’s decision that she will get many more scheduled visitations with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in her ongoing custody dispute with former husband, Kevin Federline.

Britney and George have been long-time friends and at the celebration after dinner he even helped her by providing his attorney to wrap up a quickie divorce for the even faster-marriage to her childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander back in 2004 at a Vegas wedding chapel.
