BREAKING NEWS: IRS AGENTS “BUST” PURE NIGHTCLUB HOURS BEFORE BETTE MIDLER’S PREMIERE PARTY
Executives at Pure Management Group confirmed this afternoon they are co-operating with agents from the Internal Revenue Service in connection with a “raid” that took place at the Caesars Palace nightclub earlier today.
Pure nightclub has attracted a huge celebrity clientele during the two years the highly-popular nightspot has been open. Last weekend it played host to Paris Hilton and tonight (WED) it is due to welcome a slew of celebrity guests to celebrate the red-carpet premiere of Bette Midler’s new The ShowGirl Must Go On spectacular.
A Pure spokesman indicates that the company believes there will be a very speedy resolution. They did not reveal any details of any allegations or IRS claims. At present there is no word if the nightclub will remain open or closed during the investigation. It has long been rumored by nightlife insiders that the IRS has been particularly interested in the “huge tips” nightclub guests have paid to doormen and security staff to gain entry with VIP line-passes to nightclubs all over Vegas. Luxe Life knows of two complaints that were made over new Years about how even $1,000 payoffs were not enough to gain entry at some clubs!
HERE IS AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM PURE MANAGEMENT GROUP:
Pure Management Group is fully cooperating with this IRS investigation and looks forward to a quick and satisfactory resolution. Until that time, we will have no further comment on this matter.
Pure nightclub is normally closed on Wednesday nights but will be open for the private Bette Midler event this evening.
Luxe Life will continue to monitor this breaking story and file an update report as soon as more information is available.
