Luxe Life is checking into breaking news reports that former Miss Nevada, Katie Reese was involved in a fight with a Vegas police officer and arrested here early this morning.

It was exactly a year ago this weekend that she was officially romantically linked with a hotel mogul here and they were photographed together on a first major-event date, but insiders who have seen them together at nightclubs all over our Valley now say that the relationship has either ended or has deteriorated in the past few weeks.

According to our local FOX 5 TV station, reporters are saying that police originally stopped Reese in connection to a traffic violation. Katie was apparently stopped for a speeding offense but was then found to be driving without a license and with expired license-plate tags. Now celebrity website TMZ is adding that when cops tried to arrest her she kicked and elbowed them. Apparently the beauty queen was only going to be issued a traffic ticket but when she began fighting they decided to arrest her. Katie was booked at 3 a.m. this morning (WED) and held at the Clark County Detention Center.

Katie was stripped of her crown by Miss USA pageant owner, billionaire-developer Donald Trump, who was shown blatantly-sexual photos of her from the Internet. They pictured her—while underage—in compromising positions with other girls in a Florida bar. “The Donald” gave the actual Miss USA pageant winner, Tara Connor, a second chance after other “naughty-nightclub” photos of her drinking, partying and kissing Miss Teen USA, Kate Blair, ran on the Internet. However, he refused to “pardon” Katie. She pleaded for forgiveness at a teary press conference but he turned her down. Katie wound-up being crowned Miss Jet Nightclub 2007 last year in a contest staged at The Mirage to coincide with the Miss America pageant being held at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Then two weeks ago Katie was due to pass her crown over to Miss Jet Nightclub 2008—who ironically turned out to be none other than Tara Connor! Trump went “ballistic” over the stunt and immediately ordered her to pull out of the promotion and blasted the organizers for embarrassing his pageant, which Trump announced would be broadcast live April 11 from Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
