PAMELA’S RADICAL OZONE THERAPY TREATMENTS TO BATTLE HEPATITIS
Sexy blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson overnight denied internet rumors that began yesterday – as reported here in Luxe Life – that she’s pregnant. “I’m not pregnant – just very happy,” she said simply. However she did reveal: “I have just started ozone therapy and am as healthy as can be. Its very exciting.”
That startling disclosure – because she battles Hepatitis C – will set off another round of controversies. Some European doctors and biochemists endorse the radical therapy for remarkable healing properties but many other health specialists are skeptical of the concept of ozone as a medicine and warn of serious dangers. The unusual quirky and off beat Ozone therapy dates back to 1856 when first used to disinfect German operating rooms and sterilize surgical instruments. Ironically in America it was made available first in Florida but today its use there is totally prohibited. However in Cuba every hospital is equipped with ozone generators. Supporters of the radical holistic health treatments claim its successful for beating everything from cancer to AIDS. But its banned in the majority of US states and doctors run the risk of losing their licenses for using it.
“People with incurable diseases resort to it after conventional medicine has failed them – and not always with fortunate results” I was told. The US Government’s Food and Drug Administration permits its use as a disinfectant in the food processing industry but states “It is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application or preventative therapy and in order to be effective as a germicide must be present in concentration far greater than can be safely tolerated by man.”
At present there is no prohibition of Ozone Therapy in Mexico and the USA Alternative Therapy Legislation permits its use as an option in Arizona, Oregon, Alaska and Washington. Traditionally ozone therapy includes intravenous transfusions, muscular gas injections and the drinking of ozonated water. The European Co-operative of Medical Ozone Societies warns against direct intravenous injections and both therapists and patients have to avoid inhaling the ozone gas in concentration form.
Pamela is expected back in Vegas today (THURS) with new boyfriend, Rick Salomon and a “wedding watch” will start the moment they land at McCarran Airport. Last weekend, as Luxe Life reported, the couple applied for and were granted a license downtown at the Marriage Bureau that permits them to marry at anytime over the next 12 months.
Pamela is co-starring as a showgirl illusionist in “The Beauty of Magic” with Hans Klok at the Planet Hollywood resort casino.
