ASHLEE SIMPSON’S WILD VEGAS WEEKEND
Pop-princess Ashlee Simpson was all over-town the past three-days celebrating not only her new album release in advance but also her dad, manager Joe Simpson’s birthday! She began it all with a surprise appearance at the Hard Rock’s Pink Taco restaurant where she sang “Happy Birthday” to him.
Then she played two tracks from her new upcoming April 15 album for fellow taco-tasters, including her new single “Outta My Head” featuring Timbaland. Ashlee posed for photos and signed autographs for fans. No sign of steady Fall Out Boy beau-friend Pete Wentz, but we did see comedienne Sarah Silverman and lead guitarist Ray Brady, her musical director.
However, bassist Pete was on Ashley’s arm as the sexy songstress waltzed into sushi and sashimi hot-spot Social House inside Treasure Island. Her dad Joe had gone off to join four-friends for dinner at Company American bistro inside the Luxor.
The lip-locked twosome ordered up seared tuna salads and carafes of sake with other assorted specialties prepared by chef Joe Elevado. Ashlee and Pete said hello to pro poker player Chris Ferguson and current Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler, who were also dining there.
Then the cuddled-up carousing couple took off for their plush VIP main-stage table at Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace where family, including dad Joe, and friends joined them.
Ashlee stuck with Voss water throughout the night, while rapper Ja Rule pumped up the crowd with an impromptu performance of his hit songs, and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson grooved along to the music.
The final stop on the weekend tour of the Strip for Ashlee and Pete was at Company American Bistro in the Luxor. They ordered up the delicious lobster risotto and bone-in rib eye with potato puree and mac ‘n’ cheese from executive chef Adam Sobel. They sat alongside celebrity chef Hubert Keller and Planet Hollywood president Mike Mecca. Then Ashlee hit the adjoining new LAX nightclub for her very own party where, from the raised DJ booth, she sang several of her heart-jumping songs, including the new single, to the jam-packed dance floor.
Ashlee then joined her boyfriend Pete and her dad Joe to all celebrate with Veuve Clicquot champagne.
Among the celebs applauding her performance were Mindfreak magician Criss Angel, comedian Carrot Top, who mugged for our cameras, plus rapper Coolio who served up a surprise impromptu rap session.
