AMERICAN IDOL FINALISTS GRAB “LOVE” AS THE BEATLES CIRQUE SHOW IS FILMED FOR THIS WEEK’S BROADCAST
As Luxe Life first reported last week, the four finalists from this season’s American Idol, David Cook, Syesha Mercado, Jason Castro and David Archuleta got the briefest of breaks from the down-to-the-wire suspense with a whirlwind eight-hour Vegas visit.
They were welcomed by our merry Mayor of Mirth, Oscar Goodman and went to visit The Beatles Love musical by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage. Fans mobbed them on arrival.
They were aaccompanied by several friends and family. Exclusive footage of the four future stars at the Love show and behind-the-scenes tour with cast and crew, will air on American Idol this Wednesday, on FOX. Creator-producer Nigel Lythgoe commented: “The last few weeks of Idol have been a tough time because we have such really good singers this years, They also have to remember this is only a springboard to a career. It is not a guaranteed career. Just because people watch television and vote them as winners doesn’t automatically mean they buy records or download music. So reaching the final four of American Idol is not a guarantee of future stardom. That makes it even tougher.” The contestants arrived at 2 p.m. and were gone back on a private jet to Hollywood at 10 p.m. During the non-stop visit they also filmed at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Magical Dolphin Habitat and were polished up for their red-carpet appearance at Kim Vo’s new Mirage salon.
Also at Love: Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith with children Dakota Johnson, Stella Banderas and a group of their friends.
