When retired porn princess Jenna Jameson stripped down to her underwear and stockings for birthday boyfriend Tito Ortiz, the temperature shot sky-high. It was probably the closest any of the partygoers at the new Cathouse in the Luxor has ever gotten to an adult film-star, let alone one undressing right there in front of them down to a near birthday suit of her own!

A huge birthday cake was wheeled into the club—and out popped a scarcely clad Jenna. She propped herself up on the top of the cake and sang “Happy Birthday” to the beaming and proud UFC champion celebrating his 33rd! Then she high-stepped in her thigh-highs onto a raised mini-stage with the Cathouse Coquettes for a sizzling hot dance number.

“I actually came in the club for two days beforehand to rehearse with them,” Jenna told me. “In addition to the dance surprise, which Tito had no idea we were going to do, I gave him a new necklace for his birthday.”

Tito, now starring on Celebrity Apprentice, told me, “I am so proud of her. She’s the best. I couldn’t be happier. She took me completely by surprise, and look at how well she did. Who doesn’t want their girlfriend to jump out of the cake wearing nearly nothing?”

Also at Cathouse for the event were fighter Mike Tyson (with yet more new ladies on his arm), Adrienne Curry and Christopher Knight, celebrity chef Kerry Simon and UFC fighters Tikki Gosn, Rob McCullough and Troy Mandaloniz. Jenna had arranged for her XXX-friend Brianna Banks to surprise Tito, too, but she lost her flight in from Los Angeles due to horrible weather wreaking havoc.

Tito summed up: “It was still a birthday to remember. It’s like a sexy dream come true. And Robin, we’re still trying for that baby!”

Over 19.2 million people watched the 2008 Miss America LIVE! pageant from the Vegas strip at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. In tallying the final numbers this afternoon from the original live airing and two repeat airings, the show claimed the #1 spot on cable TV for Saturday night among females between the ages of 18-34.

It increased viewership over 2007 by 90% among viewers ages 18-34, 95% among women ages 18-49, 96% among women ages 25-54 and 88% among women ages 18-34. In addition, the median age for the telecast was 37, nearly seven years younger than the live premiere in 2007 and 14 years younger than in 2006.

“We wanted to re-energize the Miss America brand in a way that made it more relatable to today’s young women,” said Angela Shapiro-Mathes, the president and general manager of TLC. “We worked closely with Sam Haskell and the Miss America Organization to give the pageant a new sensibility that was more reflective of our audience and the amazing response we had to the live broadcast confirms that it resonated with the viewers.” Said MAO Board Chairman Haskell: “The durability and relevance of an American icon was dramatically demonstrated though our new partnership with TLC. The resurgence of “Miss America” has only just begun. Once again it is the stuff dreams are made of.”

This was the first year of a three-year deal between the Miss America Organization and TLC for the Miss America pageant—and it’s expected that Planet Hollywood executives will renew on a similar time-line. Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund was crowned and will serve as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Billionaire real-estate mogul Donald Trump “fired” his former Miss USA Tara Conner’s plans to party at the Jet nightclub in the Mirage.

He “nixed” her plans to be crowned Miss Jet Las Vegas by the last year’s winner, Katie Rees—herself a dethroned Miss Nevada USA winner in the Donald’s Miss USA pageant company he owns.

The staged coronation was all set to coincide with the announcement that the Celebrity Apprentice star-host was bringing his Miss USA pageant to the Planet Hollywood Resort for this year’s April 11 telecast! Donald had actually “fired” Tara from her original award after paparazzi photos and internet reports showed her “excessively drinking and partying in New York nightclubs, including kisses with Miss Teen USA Katie Blair.” But after pleas and protests, he relented and gave Tara a second chance. However, he would not reinstate Katie after her internet sex scandal! I’m told he went ballistic and was furious beyond words could describe about Tara’s stupidity of bringing the pageant into more disrespect. His blood may also have boiled over when he learned that comedy impresario Jeff Beacher, who was to MC the crowning, was bringing a mini-Donald with him—a little person impersonating the combed-over mogul!

Tara also cancelled out of a previous Pure nightclub appearance shortly after her reinstatement when Donald feared she’d get caught-up in the Vegas celebration-drinking whirl!

All week long I ran into former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson at every nightclub I visited on my nightly travels. Every time I saw him I marveled at the different girls he had on his arms cuddling up to him—and Mike, who gave me a cheery wave and a hug each time, didn’t mind as we snapped our Luxe Life photos to record his romantic rendezvous!

At Tao in The Venetian, Mike joined former light-heavyweight UFC champion Tito Ortiz and galpal Jenna Jameson, who promptly invited him to their birthday bash at the Cathouse. Mike showed up with yet more different dates, and he did it yet again when he turned up at both Pure in Caesars Palace and a fourth night out on the town at LAX in the Luxor—where does he find them all? !

Mike, who used to live here in Vegas before moving to Phoenix, spent so much nightclub time on a seven-day nonstop spree of party nights, it looks as if he’s moved back here. I asked him over the loud music at Cathouse if he’d come home fulltime, but I couldn’t hear his friendly answer and didn’t have the courage to ask him again!!!!

Hard to believe that the Rao’s Italian family-styled restaurant in Caesars Palace is celebrating its first anniversary. Time does fly! For over 110 years, four generations of the family have served up their authentic southern Neapolitan family recipes at the oh-so-tough to get into Rao’s in Manhattan’s East Harlem district. The few tiny tables, packed with celebs and VIP’s, just never has an empty seat—so it was a case of sighed breaths and hallelujahs when Frank and Carla Pellegrino opened up the Vegas outpost with dad Frank and uncle Ronnie.

Ever since the doors opened it’s also been a fab-fan-favorite. I took my pal, Jay Leno’s Tonight Show co-host John Melendez there for dinner and we ran into President Bill Clinton!

My favorite nanny, Fran Drescher was there another night I ordered up “Uncle Vincent’s Famous Lemon Chicken.” Since then the celeb-crowd just keeps on escalating, oohing and aahing about the vodka penne, the rigatoni and the orecchiette with sausages! Some of the famed and fortunate have included Steven Spielberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay-Z with Beyoncé, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Mary J. Blige, Kevin Spacey, Jason Giambi, Dan Akroyd, Cameron Diaz, Simon Cowell, Billy Crystal, Andy Garcia, Damon Wayans and Jennifer Love Hewitt—just to name a few!

Just to give one an idea of this Italian eatery’s on-going star-pulling power check out last nights simultaneous 8 p.m. seating: legendary Vegas veteran comedy king, Jerry Lewis, comedian and actor Richard Belzer, and talk-show host Sally Jessie Raphael, in town for the TV programming convention. When they all bumped into each other at the check-in reservation desk it took several minutes before they could be pried apart from their reunion hugs and catch-up conversations before they all sat down for dinner with their respective parties separately!

Frank and Carla, who is also the chef there, welcomed family and friends to the one-year celebration and led the first-dance across the restaurant cleared after dinner for dancing. Everybody got an autographed RAO’s cookbook as a souvenir memory of the night. The walls of the restaurant here are decorated with over 200 souvenir celebrity customer photographs—identical to the ones that line the wall of the New York hangout, including one from me!

It was a 48-hour non-stop star-studded party over two-nights to celebrate the official grand opening of the new 14,000 square foot Hawaiian Tropic Zone at the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile.

All eyes were on the scantily clad servers in their Nicole Miller-designed sexy sarong-styled swim suits—and the HTZ girls dance team, who cavort both on outside Strip-front raised platforms and the catwalk right above the restaurant. I had a re-union hello with owner Dennis Reise, who runs a slew of restaurants in New York, and he told me he’s looking forward to this first invasion of our Vegas culinary scene. He recruited culinary king David Burke to create the wild menu. On hand for all the “fun in the sun” were gorgeous Carmen Electra, Entourage stars Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jeremy Piven, Mario Lopez and Stacey Keibler from Dancing with the Stars and reality show stars Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge. They all marveled at the water-wall entrance and the largest video wall anywhere in our valley. Each night there are beauty pageants by the HTZ models where diners can vote for a winner.

The highlight of my night was meeting up again with my long-time friend Ron Rice who started the tanning giant way back when he was just a Florida lifeguard and mixed up a batch of “sun-protection oils” in a clean garbage can! When he discovered he could bake out there for hours without burning, he started selling the concoction. Eventually it grew into a worldwide business which he sold a few months ago for multi-million$.

Now he’s launching a new modeling agency with his daughter, Sterling! Ron told me this is the second HTZ, and in combining a restaurant with nightlife, he hopes for more outlets across America with the next back in his home state of Florida.

Vegas nightclubs prefer their “booked” celebrities boycott other rivals when they are flown into town. Actress Tiffani Amber Thiessen ignored “the rule” after she was jetted in by the Pure folks for her promotional celebration at Caesars Palace.

Instead she celebrated her birthday more privately for five-hours the next night with eight close friends at TAO in The Venetian. The group dined on sushi-platters and wasabi beef before hitting the dance floor. No word as to how upset the Pure people were, since they’d picked up her tab here, and we’ll have that birthday report here tomorrow.

Meantime, former Entourage actress and now Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester hosted her festivities at Tao.

Leighton plays “Blair Waldorf” in the new CW-TV drama about privileged teenagers at an elite NYC private school. Leighton arrived with eight friends in a purple and teal dress—the group included her co-star Nicole Fiscella in a black dress. They tucked into a dinner of assorted sushi platters and the Kobe beef specials. On the dance floor later they happily posed for fan photos at their VIP table. But next night they turned tail on Tao and wound up at the new Robert DeNiro Italian restaurant Ago at the Hard Rock with castmates Nicole Fiscella and Sebastian Stan along with Entourage actor Joshua Lebar. After dinner, “Queen Bee Blair” took off with ten friends to party in the Body English nightclub where she ran into Melody Thornton of the LA Pussycat Dolls.

Again, no word from the Tao triumphirate as to how upset they were about picking up the tab there for her just to whisk off to yet another rival!

*Billionaire basketball owner and HDTV cable king, Mark Cuban hung out at the Playboy Club for two hours after midnight enjoying Miller Lite beers. Everybody loved the Dancing with the Stars star because he happily signed autographs and took fan photos. He even asked to have a souvenir photo with bunny servers Magali Garcia and Katie Putnam.

*I’ve been trying hard to get photos of the “top-secret” visit that pop-princess Miley Cyrus made to the Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden at The Mirage during time off from one of her recent MGM concerts a weekend ago.

She and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus and their family took part in the Dolphin Trainer for a Day program there. Billy insisted on a strict “no-camera or paparazzi” rule, but he did relent for one photo-agency so they could sell the private-pix for beaucoup dollars!

*Sad to see another Vegas landmark restaurant pack its bags in the interest of modern-day progress—Sir Galahad’s at Excalibur is now closed. The future plans have not yet been revealed, but it’s more and more of an indication that the themed castle will have less and less reliance on King Arthur’s merry men!

*Sad to say au-revoir. As strongly rumored here in Luxe Life several weeks ago, we’re going to miss comedian Gordie Brown when he ends his current run in the Venetian after February 13.

Wayne Brady will double-up on his performances nightly, but both Gordie and the hotel executives hope he can return to a newer more intimate theater there later this year.

*The original Jersey Boys theater at the new Palazzo resort alongside The Venetian was planned with 2,200 seats, but the cast, producers and hotel executives agreed to slash it back to 1,650 seats to provide much more intimacy.

*Actress-singer Ashanti kept on her sunglasses in the dimly lit private dining room at Sushi Roku at the Forum Shops at Caesars, but she still happily signed autographs and posed for photos with 15 fans.

On her way out she even stopped by one table of ten diners and hugged the birthday boy as a surprise!

*Congratulations to Cathouse and Palms Place celebrity chef Kerry Simon on the launch of his new “personalized luxury home kitchens.”

He’s teamed with chef-pal Douglas Keane from Sonoma and San Francisco design house Karl Hasz to “revitalize the world of residential luxury kitchen design.” They’ll come to your home to examine your cooking and design styles and then they’ll create your own individual master cuisine control!

*Mark your diary accordingly because Feb. 9 will be the 44th anniversary of The Beatles first appearance on the old famed Ed Sullivan CBS TV show. The Fab Four tribute band at the Sahara will trim its ticket price that night to just $25, with all the money going to the Nevada Cancer Institute in remembrance of George Harrison who died from the deadly disease in 2001.

I’m going to give away $500,000 in cash to ten lucky convention delegates attending the new World Furniture Mart celebrations!

The LAX nightclub in the Luxor continues with its $100,000 Miss LAX bikini contest with Jaime Pressley’s beau, DJ Eric Cubeechee on the turntables.

Luxe Life high-steps it down the Strip as the purple and red-hatted ladies seek a Guinness world record. We’ll get up-close with sexy Kim Kardashian as she dances up a storm at the new Privé nightclub, and join Entourage star Kevin Dillon as he opens the Rio’s new McFadden’s Irish saloon in Johnny Drama fab-fashion!
