*It was a family affair for R&B soul singer Robin Thicke after his Beyonce concert because he brought actress-wife Paula Patton and his dad, Alan Thicke in the 30-strong group for a private dinner in the loft at TAO Asian-themed restaurant in the Venetian.

They enjoyed the Kobe beef, Chilean sea bass, chicken satay and sushi platters. Actor Wilmer Valderrama was at an adjoining table, so they linked up. Robin moved his entire crew to the TAO nightclub after dinner and took over the Moat VIP area while Wilmer took the Dance floor VIP. They all partied into the a.m. hours with rock band, Candlebox joining them all later.

* 11-year-old Vegas actor Casey Margolis of Las Vegas is grabbing early movie stardom with his debut as the young version of the lead character Seth in the summer monster hit comedy, “Superbad.”

VEGAS- THE ONLY PLACE TO PLAY!

Thousands of enthusiastic Chinese from mainland gamblers to Hong Kong entertainers and political leaders showed for the Grand Opening of The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel- and a fung-shui master selected the exact time of the festivities to bestow good luck on the world’s largest casino into the future.

Superstar singer Diana Ross was joined by Hong Kong pop-star Alan Tam when Vegas billionaire Sheldon Adelson and his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson pulled a giant lever to set off fire crackers outside the property along the front of the Doges Palace building, not only a recreation of the palace in Venice, Italy but also of the recreation on the Strip

Some estimates put the crowd size at 30,000 people waiting to get into play at the slots and table games.

The finale of the day however were performances by Diana Ross and Alan Tam, as well as Taiwanese singers, David Tao and AMei, and Hong Kong band Grasshopper. There was also a first-ever Chinese performance by our world-renowned Cirque du Soleil performers providing a taste of the permanent Cirque du Soleil show to open at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel next year.

Said Sheldon: ” Not only was this a dream come true for everybody- but it was all bigger and better than we anticipated. The reaction is incredible and we are off to a fantastic start. This will revolutionize what has been going on in Macau and starts a whole new era of Macau being a tourist destination and entertainment center of all of Asia.”

Wow! Talk about over-the-top luxury and amenities. The new LAX nightclub that pop-princess Britney Spears will open in about 48-hours time at the Luxor is unlike any-other nightclub in the world - and Luxe Life got the advance peek on a personally escorted tour by PURE owner, Robert Frey.

For the past two weeks, he’s been on site every three hours to monitor the progress, but when 99% complete and ready for those pesky Certificates of Occupancy and licensing papers, he felt confident to show it all off. Even to say it is stunning is an understatement. Add in the exclusive speakeasy-themed Noir Bar and the upcoming Nick Lachey and Wilmer Valderamma restaurant, Company opening in October and the megaplex is a 46,000 square foot wonder - just a little larger than their PURE nightspot at Caesars Palace.

Ironically, Noir Bar also opens Friday night - but while LAX may have 3,000 dancers enjoying the pyramid’s new plush playpen, the two-roomed Noir Bar is so exclusive that nobody may even be in there! It’s so exclusive and unique that it has its own super-VIP entrance from a rear hotel driveway, and although its called a bar, drinks are served by gorgeous girls from rolling drink carts to customers lounging in the leathered banquets underneath a monstrous $250,000 dimmed chandelier! Additional candles are everywhere to add to the romantic feel.

Robert told me: “There will be nights when nobody is in here. It is going to really mean exclusive, and it won’t matter if somebody has more money than sense - they can’t buy their way in. I wouldn’t be allowed in if I wasn’t the owner! It’s more than just VIP - this is invitation-only guest list time. It’s for upscale people and celebrity VIPs who want upscale nightlife without the big club experiences.”

This LAX doesn’t look anything like its sister club in Los Angeles that is a no.1 favorite with Hollywood stars. Pop-queen Christine Aguilera is one of the million-dollar investors in our Vegas LAX, and she’ll see it for the first time over the Video Music Awards MTV weekend when she hosts her party there. In fact, Robert told me that in its first month, more than 20 different stars are set to attend 20 different events there.

The wow factor begins right at the casino floor where massive arched wrought-iron gate-doors open up to enter LAX. Choose from one of two curving staircases to walk up briefly to the first level hallway lined with lipstick red curtains and candles. It divides again at a leather-studded circle – call it an oversized light-brown ball - and it’s not until about now that you’ll see and feel the actual club for the first time.

You look down onto the main dance floor lit by six enormous black chandeliers towered over by the DJ booth - literally an altar to today’s star spinners. It’s on mechanics to raise and lower depending on the DJ’s mood - but also to show everybody whatever star might be visiting, so expect Britney to christen that unique feature Friday night standing head and shoulders higher than everybody else there. It results in every club-goer being able to see the stars instead of being partially out of sight on the side VIP stages.

On each side of the balcony’s upper level smaller dance floor are seven cabana lofts complete with their own fridge, storage closet for handbags and other very personal amenities in case the lovebug catches thru the night - and the banquette booths come complete with food snack delicacies offered with the bottle service!

There’s two giant candle-lit glass and marble bars in the 26,000 square foot club connected by another circular staircase leading from the upper level onto the main dance floor. You can expect myriads of would-be models to be parading, posing and prowling down that glassed attraction. Additional VIP rooms with glass walls are located near the dance floor, too.

“We wanted to create something so it’s different every time you come,” said Robert. “We wanted to create something so that wherever you are in the club, it’s totally different from anywhere else in the club.”

So a new era of Vegas nightlife is about to begin in just two days time with \ unbelievable elegance and luxury and no gimmicks. Red is the dominant color - and even the gorgeous knockout servers are wearing very sexy hot high-fashion red outfits, matching shoes - and lipstick!

I asked Robert if he was concerned that LAX would cannibalize his crowds at PURE.

“This nightclub is in easy reach of over 12,000 hotel rooms in Luxor and its adjoining properties of Mandalay Bay, The Hotel, the Four Seasons, Excalibur, plus MGM and NYNY just across the Strip intersection. We’re still turning away up to 4,000 people at weekends trying to get into PURE, so now both clubs can handle the nightlife demand,” he commented. “Traffic is getting worse on the Strip, so I think people will stay closer to their own hotels rather than travel - so now we’ve got LAX at one end, PURE in the middle and Tangerine at the other end. They all have their slice of the market - and I can check them out each night because they’re all on the west side of the Strip and I can go up and down Frank Sinatra Drive and into Industrial.”

But he does admit that there will be several occasions where one mega star will be hosting at PURE and another mega star hosting at LAX. “May the best one win,” he laughed.

Only a privileged few, including the Luxor hotel executives, have seen the club in its finished state awaiting the opening. We’ll have photos for you here at Luxe Life over the weekend because Robert wanted everybody to see it all at once because of its overwhelming, stunning, spare-no-expense luxury look. His platinum, premium first-class indulgences make what I used to show you on Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous pale by comparison. His PURE team researched clubs all over the world to ensure there was no other pleasure palace on earth like LAX.

“We achieved that and now everybody will have to play catch up to us all over again,” he summed up.

So the eyes of the world, as seen through the lenses of more than 200 paparazzi cameramen, will be on Britney in 48 hours time at LAX. But just to ensure that all is fair in love and war (nightclub-style), Playboy’s blond bombshell Jenny McCarthy will host two nights later at PURE and guitarist Dave Navarro will do the honors Saturday night at Tangerine. In the middle of this upcoming star-studded weekend, the new BLUSH nightclub will open at the WYNN on Friday night too - and we’ll have details about that new intimate nightspot tomorrow.

The stunning showgirls of the Fantasy revue celebrated the show’s second anniversary with new songs and new choreography, along with the launch of their new 2008 calendar.

My pal, choreographer Cris Judd, who won the “I’m A Celebrity” ABC-TV reality show we shot in the Australian rain forest, was thrilled with the glamour girls’ debut of his new dances at their Luxor showroom.

“It’s very hot, very tight, and very sexy. They were fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier,” he told me. Among the audience were actors Jimmy Jean-Louis from Heroes and heart-throb Adrian Zmed.

They all had extra reason to celebrate because Luxor president Felix Rappaport told producer Anita Mann that he was renewing their contract until at least Christmas of next year!

She told me: “Great, exciting news. We’re very proud to be part of the Luxor family and we honestly think we’ve got the Strip’s most beautiful girls and best all around dancers.”

Luxor executives threw a poolside party after the show and the OK Triplets, Aleksandra, Izabela, Monika, who will be playing their amazing violin act for Bette Midler in her new Caesars Palace show, grabbed everybody’s attention! Anita says that the Fantasy girls’ next project will be a showgirls workout fitness DVD, and they’ve all been working with several military wives of Iraq-based soldiers to form a similar dance group that will make a DVD to send to their husbands overseas as a surprise for Christmas!

Right as the deadline hour approaches, TI executives and PURE Management honchos have decided to delay the planned temporary closing of their Tangerine nightspot. Tattooed Dave Navarro will be the guest star over Labor Day weekend and he was due to ceremoniously close the doors. The plan was to overhaul the club, give it a more Asian theme to match its Social House neighbor upstairs and make the space a little larger to resize the dance-floor area near the VIP booths. It was set to re-open for New Years Eve - but that’s all come to a crushing halt.

Nobody’s explained just why, but I suspect the same-time closing of the Light nightclub at the Bellagio after Labor Day has something to do with it. Light plans a major renovation and makeover (and possibly turning itself into a two-level club) and since it wont be ready to re-open until mid-December the Tangerine folks wisely said, “lets get that business in the meantime.” Tangerine will close for its remodeling makeover at some future date. Light first opened in 2001, so they’ve had a good six year-run before having to polish that palace of pleasure.

You’d think it was January’s annual Adult Video Awards show judging by the number of the porn-world’s hottest starlets invading for tonight’s midnight blowout at the Seamless nightclub. Not content with just one or two of the daring divas, there more than 14 of them - led by fan favorite, Jesse Jane, who I once judged a winner in a Hawaiian Tropic beauty pageant!

The lineup includes X-rated Jenna Haze, Nikki Benz, Ashton Moore, Carmen Hart, Nakita Kash, Shy Love, Brooke Haven, Trina Michaels, Lexi L’Amour, Ashlyn Brooke and many others. Despite the fact that it’s my birthday, I won’t be popping in to watch them pop-out!

Funny that these blonde beauties take off their clothes for a living on screen and they’re here to brighten the lives of the M A G I C conventioneers who make clothes for a living! Actually, the starlets are here for the Exotic Dancer Magazine award show being held as part of the joint Storerotica Convention and the 15th Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owner’s Expo at Mandalay Bay which wraps after three days of selling, showings and partying.

*Expect ABC-TV today to list the new contenders for its next Dancing with the Stars series this fall; expect Vegas hometown heroes Wayne Newton and fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr to be amongst them. It’s also being reported that regular Vegas visitor Mark Cuban, who owns the Dallas Mavericks, will participate. Supposedly Mark, close pal with the Maloofs at the Palms, has purchased a United Football League franchise for our city.

*Normally the burlesque dancers at Ivan Kane’s 40-Deuce nightspot in Mandalay Bay aren’t that ecstatic if a frenzied female in the crowd jumps on stage to strip down simultaneously! But when you’ve got actor Keanu Reeves’ sister sitting beside her brother and their friends, how can you say no? So in between the peel-down performances she treated the audience to a show of her own! Leading the standing ovation was Keanu!

*Before leaving town, Hairspray actress and Vegas Magazine cover girl Brittany Snow took in the late show of LOVE, The Beatles musical from Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage. Across the casino floor was comedy-actor Orlando Jones dining at the resorts Chinese restaurant, Fin, which later this fall will undergo a magical makeover.

*The continuing crowds for the BODIES and Titanic exhibitions at the Tropicana resort casino - due to be closed this coming Labor Day weekend - are so great that the attractions will now stay open until year’s end. Demand has been so consistently solid since their opening back in June of last year that hundreds of thousands of people - including most of our Strip stars and visiting entertainers - have viewed the exhibits. Check out the full scale re-creation of Titanic’s Grand Staircase and the outer Promenade Deck which actually undergoes a severe temperature drop while you walk it!

*When the V Variety show at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile shopping gallery threw its own “Vegas Got Talent” project to compete against NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” over 200 hopefuls showed up. The winner was 25-year-old Ukranian Tamara Yerofeyer who lives here but has toured as backup with Madonna and Aerosmith.

The former Olympian and World Championship rhythmic gymnast now sees her dream come true by starring twice nightly in the variety show. Says producer David Saxe: “She is one of the most amazing performers I have ever seen. It’s the most astounding act on the Strip.”

* Starting Friday this week, Monty Python fans can really get up close to their favorite Spamalot stars to learn the “Secrets of the Holy Grail.” A Very Important Person Package (VIPP) has gone on sale so buyers of the $159 tickets can go backstage after the show. They’ll take once-in-a-lifetime photos with John O’Hurley’s cast, crew and props and leave with a commemorative Grail cup. The 45-minute “inner sanctum” tour behind the scenes at the WYNN show has just one catch: You have to sign a blood oath swearing never to reveal any of the secrets – but “look on the bright side,” if you keep quiet you won’t be impaled on the stake!
